Description

The Red Girls ensemble from Tale of Tale's game The Path, which should be receiving much more attention.

Shamelessly stole Scarlet's pose from the wallpaper. Felt rather uninspired when it came to Robin, probably because I play her the least. Very fun piece all in all!

I know a little about The Path.  I discovered it while watching the Ren Seeks Help episode of Mr. Enter's Animated Atrocities.  At 11:15-11:43 in the review, he said that the sound of sexual moaning overlaid with chainsaws was also present in The Path (warning, there is unbelievably disturbing content in the link, seriously, watch the warning in the first 39 seconds before going any further). www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHxbSp… Anyway, I have heard this is a great horror experience (it is not all that interactive) with interesting and very different characters.  However, I have also heard that the main message of the game is that girls should not stray from their traditional feminine roles.  I learned from one of my college professors (Dr. Anthony Farrington to be specific) that the tale of Little Red Riding Hood was made in a way so that going off the path was a metaphor in life for deviating from the norm in any way.  I know that going off the path leads to finding interesting things and have various wolves ravage the player characters, but I would like to know if the things found by going off the path are portrayed both positively and negatively.  If that is the case, then I will mostly be cleared of my fears that the main message of the game is to conform.

By the way, I know she is not in this game, but I must ask, where does Red Hot Riding Hood fit into this logic?
